Carbon offsetting through tree planting outside the centre?
No answer given
Ensuring long term sustainability. Plenty of open space. Wild flower roof gardens.
Everything! Developers must be forced into building sustainable, zero-carbon houses, and planning permission must be withheld for proposals that do not deliver this.
No answer given
Where to start... - use brownfield sites, not greenfield ones - always include solar panels - always include water saving devices (e.g. in toilet cisterns) or limescale reducers on property pipes (to reduce wear & tear) - always include - include wind powered energy where possible (e.g. I used to live facing the golf course at Great Denham. The winds in winter were terrific, and would certainly have powered a small battery for house use). -
No answer given
More trees Air conditioning in large scale buildings if considered necessary (natural ventilation preferably) Advice on heating provision during winter and range of fuel options More trees which naturally clean the air

Guidance should be provided until a central policy from the Government is available
Climate change must be an integral part of any development. I am not an expert, you need to talk to them.
No answer given
I think that Government policy will dictate what has to be done.
NO. SHOULD KEEP THE BUDGET TO IMPROVE WHAT ( PREMISSES AND SYSTEMAS) ALREADY IN USE IN THIS BOROUGH
No answer given
Houses should be more energy efficient. With the push for electric cars, the infrastructure to support these and battery disposal needs to be incorporated.
Guidance isn't enough. Why are we asking nicely? Developments must reflect and deliver against SMART measures of congestion reduction, energy efficiency, flexible working, water retention, water saving, real commitment to reuse and recycling. Products and packaging that can not be recycled should not be allowed, not simply dumped into landfill or shipped elsewhere. Do not build on flood plains. Do not allow composite decking. How will the needs for water be addressed in new developments. How low is the water table now? What is being done to re-dress? How are we encouraging less congestion less travel and flexible working. Rainwater must be captured and conserved, heating must be done by air and ground heat pumps, insulation must be done properly, not given lip service ....garages will help keep cars off the street but cars must be able to fit in them...

Requirements for integrated solar panels. Guidance on Heat source air pumps or ground source pumps, that ensures minimal impact of noise on surrounding properties. Rain water harvesting and installation of water butts.
No answer given
All new houses should be zero emission or better, through greatly improved insulation, heat pumps and/or solar panels, charging points for electric cars, super-fast broadband (for home working) etc.
