"A greener town centre", "protect and enhance natural resources", "Reduce congestion in the borough". How are any of these going to be achieved by building a diesel rail line through the centre of the town and out into the North Bedfordshire countryside? There appears to be no data on how much more traffic would travel into the station on Ashburnham Road if route E goes ahead. All the viaducts, embankments etc needed to build a line which is longer and needs so much more concrete and years of upheaval will not protect and enhance any natural resources.
