This assessment was done in Nov 2020. For the first time in nearly 18 years severe flooding near my home in St Neots occurred in December 2020. This occurred due to water being released from Bedford and backing up our brook. I believe that excessive building around the River Great Ouse has alraedy contributed to this. Run off from Dennybrook would further increase the chance of St Neots flooding. The methodology for preparing a strategic flood risk assessment was updated in Sept 2020 increasing the stringency of risk assessments. Therefore this flood risk assessment needs to be updated.
