The main route to this development would be via Ridge Road. This would further increase traffic movements on Ridge Road, which is already impacted by large housing developments in Kempston and Wootton. The road is not safe, with narrow pavements for pedestrians with children walking to Kempston Rural Primary School already a safety risk due to traffic volume and speed. Further housing development in this area would risk the rural and agricultural heritage of Kempston Rural, impact the environmental corridors around the Forest of Marston Vale land and negatively impact the access of green space for families in Kempston.
