What influence can a Neighbourhood Plan have on a strategic allocation? And will the development in a strategic allocation be CIL liable in the usual way or would it use section 106 money? Our Neighbourhood Plan survey conducted early in 2021 demonstrated that there was no support for extensive development in our parish. How can this be used to influence a strategic site? I was on the committee and it seems to be a distraction to create a Neighbourhood plan when the proposal for major devastating developments are being forced upon us!
Plus mitigation for the loss of rural character is not something any neighbourhood plan can provide…..proportionate development is the only option to maintain character.
