Wilstead does not have the infrastructure to support further housing. The roads are already needing significant investment to repair rutting, potholes etc. Access and egress is becoming more difficult with additional housing and I feel that Wixams provides enough additional housing for this area of Bedfordshire. We are lacking enough schools GP surgeries etc to support further dwellings. The village of Wilstead will also lose it's identity as a quiet small village with a close sense of community if further expansion is permitted.

Milton Ernest Parish Council acknowledges your inclusion of our 'made' NDP. We are pleased to see that the draft 2040 local plan includes and acknowledges the agreed allocation of 25 new dwellings for the village and that there is no requirement for further development beyond this number within the 2040 plan. The Parish has no plans for further development within the village.

The Wilshamstead Neighbourhood Plan accepted that there would possibly be a need to accept additonal housing once the new Local Plan had been approved.
Whilst no additional housing was proposed in the Wilshamstead Neighbourhood Plan it should be recognised that contingency to consider addiitonal housing was included as follows:
"it is likely that Service Centres such as Wilstead will be expected to provide additional housing in years to come. The majority of respondents to the [NP] Questionnaire considered that no development should take place in the Parish (50%) but accepted that infilling in the existing built up area could be less unacceptable (36%) as opposed to the use of greenfield sites outside the current built up area (2%).
"This NP does not seek to allocate sites currently given that there is no requirement in the current Local Plan 2030 for it to do so. However, in the future, should new housing be required in the Parish by the Borough Council, the Neighbourhood Plan is likely to be reviewed "

I support the plan to build additional homes at the site in Gt. Barford. This is Grade 3 agricultural land and is close to the planned new railway station at Tempsford.

• Re 500 homes to be built at Great Barford. New facilities must be written into the planning permissions for these homes eg the Doctor’s surgery in Silver Street. This is already over-subscribed, making it extremely difficult for to get an appointment. The prospect of an extra 1,500-2,000 new patients in Great Barford must surely demand a new surgery with relevant parking provisions, with an attached pharmacy. Construction traffic must also be instructed not to use Villages such as Wilden as a ‘rat-run’.

No mention of Roxton in Table 1. Does this mean there are no further commitments for dwelling allocations in Roxton in the period of this plan? RPC respectively request a reply from BBC to this query.
