I cannot understand how a development in Wyboston or Little Barford which is adjacent to St Neots is going to help the Town of Bedford. Residents will shop in St Neots and most likely work there, Cambridge or London. Bedford will not benefit at all.
The development needs to be surrounding Bedford as per option 2A

The level of development at Colworth (2400 homes) and Twinwoods (3495 homes) will have an impact on journies from North Bedfordshire villages into Bedford along the A6 and on our rural roads and villages that already suffer from drivers cutting through to avoid traffic. The increase in the volume of traffic and the ensuing carbon dioxide emissions will have a negative effect on air quality. These huge developments have no place in the countryside. BBC needs reminding that it has declared a climate change emergency.

Issues and Options Consultation was flawed. Staploe Parish is not "Brown - Urban" it is open countryside.
Connection to a National Cycle Network will not resolve transport issues for new settlement west of Wybston (Dennybrook) phase one 2500+ houses up to 10,000+ 2050.

Whilst broadly supportive of the Borough's aims and strongly in favour of adopting a principle of 'brown field first' and the conversion of surplus retail and commercial buildings or sites, there needs to be a continued commitment to ensuring that housing quality and environmental standards remain high and are overseen appropriately.

Previous Local Plan contained development sites north of Bedford. This Local Plan concentrates development in sites south of Bedford. The majority of the housing need for Bedford Borough could be satisfied by these large sites, one of which is brownfield. East-West Rail has now selected a route north of Bedford, so concentrating development in the south seems is incongruous, development to the south will not easily be served by the new rail link. The station at Wixhams is still not committed to be built. Driving into Bedford from these new developments to rail links is not sustainable in environmental terms.

1.17 Following on from last year's consultation we have considered comments about the different locations for growth and have developed combinations that could deliver new jobs and homes. A long list of options is given in the Development Strategy Topic Paper and a fuller list in the Sustainability Appraisal.

The leaflet delivered to all residents shows only the BBC emerging preferred options, 2a, 2b, 2c and 2d. There is a small reference about another 6 options being available to comment on. Most people do not realise that there are another 6 options. The leaflet is therefore very MISLEADING as it fails to properly describe all the options.
This leaflet is also more MISLEADING as it fails to properly describe the correct build-out rate for Dennybrook (2,500 houses stated, yet the developer is planning for 5,150 houses to 2040 and 10,800 houses to 2050).
These are MAJOR ERRORS in giving the public sufficient and correct information on which to provide their responses and UNDERMINES THE WHOLE CONSULTATION.
