Support policy. The borough must prevent further out of town development, for example at Racecourse Way and Rope Walk , to the benefit of the town centre, communities and sustainability.

Bedford Town Centre has ample opportunity for high density development and has suffered significant loss of commercial activity in the last couple of years, so this possibility should be considered more creatively than simply what was put forward in the Local Plan 2030.
