Site Assessment Pro Formas

Representation ID: 3580

Received: 13/08/2021

Respondent: Mr Alex Pender

Representation Summary:

The site would have the potential to significantly change the character of the village by proximity to the church, and put pressure on the existing sewage network. It is also not sustainable in the longer term, as there is no school in the village so parents would have to drive children to school (no pavement to schools). There are a limited number of local jobs, and few busses which would also push residents towards car commuting increasing congestion on the rural road network. It would also degrade the rich biodiversity of the field margins.

Respondent: Little Staughton Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Proposed site is greenfield, adjacent to heritage sites and outside of Settlement Policy Boundaries. Larger development than already reviewed by PC in June 2021. Provision of traffic lights / roundabout may help slow traffic through centre of village.
