This is a designated open view which has been reiterated as such in the NDP. Consulation feedback from residents is that they did not want any open views built on. The Borough document states that risk of flooding is 0.1%. The Parish Council would suggest that this is incorrect as The Old Manse ( next door) was flooded from water coming through this field December 2020. If there are houses placed on this field they would be subject to run off from the fields behind as evidenced by flooding seen at both The Old Manse and properties in Sharpe Close.

This site is located to east side of The Causeway, Carlton and is being put forward as a housing allocation for up to 15 dwellings. The site has no physical constraints and can be accessed via an existing access from The Causeway to the north.

The site is located adjacent to the settlement boundary of Carlton and could provide a modest extension to the village in this location. The site is currently available for developed and could be developed within 5-10 years of the emerging Plan being adopted.
