Yes

Proposed scope is very broad & covers ‘policy’ areas. No further comment at this stage.

It would appear current plans cover areas to the south of the Bushmead Rd. Is LS Airfield and surrounding areas likely to be developed (Cambs/Hunts area??) if so, to what extent, in light of the wish list for St Neots expansion in Bedfordshire? Any expansion would severely impact on the rural area and significant infrastructure would desecrate the area.

I agree with this plan period

Given the details provided within the Strategy & infrastructure section locations outside of any currently identified areas of development - no issues with timescales proposed.

Nothing chosen

Identified potential locations for growth include “expansion within the borough boundary - of neighbouring urban areas - Rushden & St Neots” & more dispersed development development throughout the borough including the expansion of villages. To what extent , if any, are any of the villages including LS considered for expansion in this location. It appears Wyboston is on the expansion agenda and what impact will this have on LS? What impact will HDC’s planned expansion and use of LS Airfield and its surroundings have on LS?

Form ID: 1899

LS does NOT have the necessary infrastructure to support any significant expansion. Over recent years there has been significant infill expansion and PDR for farm buildings to residential. There is a seasonal caravan park a farm shop and pub. No other support facilities exist. A single country road passes through the village supporting the farming community, and limited vehicles accessing the Airfield outlying cross country villages & access to Bedford and major road routes. Major upgrades to road systems would be required to facilitate any significant expansion to LS and would therefore have a significant loss of biodiversity and environmental loss to the area.

There would appear to be no areas to support significant employment or housing growth in or around LS

Outside the scope of LSPC, although Cambs LS Airfield plans may require some expansion of existing Beds roads to improve north, south and east road links to A1 & A421.

Form ID: 1902

LS is a very small rural village with no Town Centre. 1 pub, 1 seasonal caravan park and 1 farm shop.
