Electric charging points should be provided at all new homes and business premises, homes should
be built to a high standard and well insulated (but still with access to loft storage space without
compromising the insulation), heating should use ground / air source heat pumps / district or other
low carbon heating, solar panels should be incorporated into the designs, bicycle parking should be
provided, developments should include considerable green spaces, wooded areas and biodiversity
gain of at least 20%. A very high level of flood protection should be included as this is likely to
become an increasing issue.
