I comment as follows:
Electric charging points should be provided at all new homes and business premises, homes should be built to a high standard and well insulated, heating should use ground / air source heat pumps / district heating, solar panels should be incorporated into the designs, bicycle parking should be provided, developments should include considerable green spaces, wooded areas and biodiversity gain of at least 20%.
A very high level of flood protection should be included as this is likely to become an increasing issue. It was reported today (1 September) that there has been a large increase in weather disasters over the past 5 decades (BBC News). We are extremely concerned that development at site 977 (Dennybrook) will have a profound effect on Honeydon Brook, which already floods in Honeydon during the winter.
