This is poorer grade agricultural land and therefore meets government policy of selecting poorer quality land for development over that of a higher quality. Development here would be close to the new EWR station, to the main St Neots station and the new A428 link road thus providing easily accessible transport routes. This is not a greenfield site and therefore there is no risk of loss of identity to existing settlements.
