Local Plan 2040 Draft Plan - Strategy options and draft policies consultation

Representation ID: 4884

Received: 02/09/2021

Respondent: Ms Tara Skey

Representation Summary:

The Council’s statement would appear contradictory should the proposed new settlement of Dennybrook (land west of Wyboston site 977) be taken forward. The parish of Staploe will certainly not become 'greener' and 'more attractive' by such urbanised development. Avoiding areas of high flood risk is not the same as preventing them! Rural communities will not 'embrace appropriate development' such as Dennybrook that does not refelct its 'unique local character' 'Locally important green spaces and valued local landscapes will be protected and enjoyed by all.' Accordingly, the ‘draft vision’ can only be taken at surface value if it is not upheld.
