I am writing to object to this monstrous proposal for a Science Park in the quiet and tranquil village of Renhold which currently enjoys dark skies and which wishes, above all else, to retain its separation from Bedford.
Water End and Green End are predominantly linear with low density built form, primarily housing, surrounded by agricultural land.
The proposals would be out of keeping, out of scale and clearly disproportionate to the size of the Parish.
The allocation would result in an urban built environment of significant depth, which would neither complement nor be compatible with the linear character of this part of Renhold and would contribute to unacceptable urban sprawl.
There are several brownfield sites that must be developed before you look to decimate what little remains of the North Bedfordshire countryside, so please think again and cancel this proposal forthwith.
