Local Plan 2040 Draft Plan - Strategy options and draft policies consultation

Representation ID: 3852

Received: 26/08/2021

Respondent: Mr Keith Blaxill

Representation Summary:

It is not possible to align a substantial increase in the size of rural communities with Greener objectives. Development must take place within multi functional urban areas with excellent public transport access to workplaces and social facilities, and especially to rail networks. This does not and should not include villages such as Great Barford and Sharnbrook, so called Key Service Centres that have very few key services and invariably demand car use. The 2030 and 2040 Plans are flawed in this key respect.
