Natural beautiful land with a mass of trees. Frequented by wildlife, Deer, Rabbits, Owls, Pheasants and various bird species. Entrance to site to narrow and would be quite concealed. To much development proposed for the area especially the relatively narrow Cotton End Road. Effects on the overall wellbeing and quality of existing residents way of life.

Representation Summary:

Oppose further housing development that will increase traffic flow along Cotton End Road.
Road is already too busy, too fast and becoming dangerous in the absence of average speed cameras.

Ant further development should be on the periphery of the village.

Representation Summary:

The village is mainly one long road with little roads off it.Not houses behind houses, like a town housing estate.
I do not feel this is in keeping with the village. It spoils the views you would expect in a village, making it feel cluttered
and spoiling rural fields. This will start to totally ruin the village feel

Bedfordshire county council will not be happy until they have turned every village into a town.
You have so many brown field sites use them, and leave our village as a village

Representation Summary:

This site is outside the existing Settlement Policy Area for the village of Wilstead.
It is also next to the important County Wildlife site in Northwood Lane Meadows.
The site contains important trees planted in the last 40 years to provide an orchard and area of natural tranquillity for the residents of 127 Cotton End Road and immediate neighbours.
