The proposed new settlement(s) in options 2b,c,d are a concern as the proposed locations of Little Barford and Wyboston are both low-lying locations close to the river Gt Ouse. Due regard must be taken that “Areas at risk of flooding are likely to be at increasing risk in the future and the frequency of flooding will increase in such areas as a result of climate change.” (page iv of the Council's Strategic Flood Risk Assessment, 2020).
