Why was this call for sites simply accepting of every piece of land irrespective of its origin, surely non farm land and brown field sites should be considered.

This is misleading. We learnt only on May 2021 that the site boundary for Dennybrook had been extended to include virtually the whole of Honeydon. This was not known in autumn 2020. Duloe Field was also added after the deadline. Such sites, which missed the deadline, should not be considered.

The councils decision to allow sites to be added or increased after the deadline of September 2020 was not transparent to the public and has resulted in a proposed new development being increased by 25% surrounding the Hamlets of Begwary & Honeydon and allowing the local residents very little time to respond. The site at Dennybrook expanded in area by around 25% after the call for sites closed to
engulf the hamlets of Honeydon and Begwary. We were informed only 8 months after the
call for sites closed about this expansion which left only 4 weeks for residents to consider this
and seek advice before the consultation on the Draft Local Plan openened. Duloe Field (site
3420) was also submitted after the deadline. I do not believe sites submitted after the
deadline should be considered and certainly not very large sites submitted 8 months after
the deadline.

we feel the call for sites initially showed Dennybrook (site 977) as a much smaller site beyond the boundaries of Honeydon. We were only informed in May 2021 (an astonishing 8 months after the call for sites closed) that the site boundary had expanded by approximately 25% to engulf the whole of the hamlet of Honeydon and Begwary and ending 30 metres from my boundary and identified as one of the main access points on an unclassified road with blind junction. The new site showed many existing homes surrounded on all sides by housing estates. Therefore we believe that the call for sites was not conducted in an open and transparent manner. Residents only had one month to gather their thoughts about this enormous new development of up to 10,800 homes which engulfed their properties before the draft consultation opened. We do not believe this is a fair consultation for them.

The call for sites process was a sham and undemocratic. Site 977 (Dennybrook) was substantially enlarged after the so called time limit had expired. Local residents were only notified of the enlargement when the 'Vision Document' was quietly released in late May 2021, eight months after the cut off date, and were horrified to discover that the revision meant that their homes would be entirely surrounded by new development. We could, of course, have continued to consult the 'call for sites' webpage after the final submission date had ended but naively thought that there was no need to do so as the date was 'final'. Late notification has severely restricted the ability of local people, during a pandemic, to raise money, discuss the proposal and so ensure their views are put to the Council by 3 September. And I bet the 3 September deadline for this consultation is a date you will actually stick to.

The original call for sites showed Dennybrook (site 977) as much smaller, completely beyond the boundaries of Honeydon.
May 2021 the boundary had grown by approximately 25% to swamp Honeydon and Begwary. This was 8 months after the call for sites closed.
Existing homes will be completely surrounded by housing estates.
We had only one month to respond to this potential enormous new development of up to 10,800 homes which will engulf our properties before the draft consultation opened. Therefore this cannot be a fair consultation.
I believe this call for sites was not conducted in an open and transparent manner.

The new sites being proposed are totally OTT for the area of Cotton End, Cardington and Cotton End. The area has been decimated with over development and this is just another nail in the coffin of the area. Heritage is being destroyed, wildlife is being wiped our and infrastructure to support what we already have is inadequate already. Then round the tri village area I spoke of earlier there is a lot of the extra housing plans put forward on the water table, a few balancing ponds will not deal with that, what will happen in times of heavy rain?

At the same time the Council issued a 'call for sites' to update information received during 2014 and 2015 about land that owners wish to make available for development. Around 430 sites were submitted to the Council and similarly these have been available to view on the Council's web site since autumn 2020.
My home is in the very centre of the Dennybrook development site and in some of Taylor Wimpey documentation is even included as part of the development which is very misleading. I live in an isolated farmhouse surrounded by fields of wheat which could one day be housing…..how does that not change the character of the environment and a permanent change for future generations. The wildlife and flora of this area contains some protected species which there can be no mitigation measures which will achieve anything like appropriate protection of the rural character or natural gems which these fields and hedgerows promote.
